With nearly 300 episodes to currently demolish, this is the podcast to satisfy your MMA munchies.
What do you get when you mix a UFC champion and a stand up comedian together? Believe you me, you get the Believe You Me pod. Formed from a successful show on satellite radio, the programme arrives bi-weekly to discuss across the spectrum from the wild world of mixed arts. And who better as your tour guide, complete with that recognisably amiable Northern accent (and is admittedly partial to a few swear words), than the great Michael Bisping?
He is a former UFC Middleweight Champion, a former Cage Rage Light Heavyweight Champion and The Ultimate Fighter 3 Light Heavyweight tournament winner, he became the first British fighter to compete in a UFC main event, and the first British fighter to win a UFC Championship. He remains the sole British winner of a UFC title and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019.
Bisping, and stand up comedian, Luis J. Gomez, having hosted that show together on satellite radio, bring their brand of brash, comedic MMA commentary to the podcast world. Believe You Me provides the listener a behind the scenes look at the career and life of a UFC champion. Bisping along with his co-host, Gomez, break down MMA news, pop culture stories, and talk parenting, philosophy, and life in general. A concoction of jovial chat, UFC knowledge on past and current events, episodes range from between an hour and a half to two hours.
It does however come with a disclaimer: ‘Believe You Me is FOR ADULTS ONLY!’
Believe You Me with Michael Bisping is currently available from Apple Podcasts.
