The Last Tackle: Who Makes The Grand Final And Who Suffers Semi-Final Heartbreak?

The Betfred Super League comes to the boil this week!

The Last Tackle: And then there were four.

We wondered last week if the Betfred Super League eliminators would produce an upset or surprising result. They gave us two. The season is over for Wigan and Warrington, and Hull KR and Leeds are now just one game away from the Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Paul Sculthorpe and Adrian Morley join us in the studio to provide the post-mortem for the Warriors and Wolves, and look ahead to this week’s Semi-finals, as the Rhinos and Robins look horns with St Helens and Catalans Dragons respectively.

Can KR spring another shock? Will the Dragons be bringing their French flair to Old Trafford? Saints are chasing a historic three-peat, but Leeds Rhinos finishing fifth in the table? We’ve been here before… Write them off at your peril.

Last year’s play-off series was full to the brim with excitement and drama, but one thing was missing. The crowd.

Fans have already been one of the main character’s in 2021 after over a year away, and we got the view from the terraces, with the lads from St Helens Fanzine Redvee.net, and the Red Robin Podcast.

It’s not just the men’s season that is hurtling towards a conclusion. We caught with St Helens captain Jodie Cunningham after her side booked their place in the Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final at Headingley next Sunday.

Play-off season also means award season, and the shortlist for the Steve Prescott Man of Steel award has been revealed. Scully knows a thing or two about lifting that trophy, being the only man to lift it twice in a row, so we asked him and Moz who they think will be given Rugby League’s most coveted individual award.

As ever, we want to hear from you, the fans, so put your thoughts in the comments, and lets bask in the glory of the last two weeks of the Betfred Rugby League season.
