David Moyes has named his first West Ham United side, and the former Sunderland manager has given a start to Andy Carroll, but there is no place for Javier Hernandez in the starting line-up for the Hammers clash with Watford in the 4:00pm Premier League kick-off at Vicarage Road.
In total Moyes has made three changes to the West Ham starting line-up with not only Carroll leading the line, but Pablo Zabaleta and Marko Arnautovic will also start the game, as the Hammers attempt to prise themselves out of the drop zone.
Marco Silva, who has been linked with the vacant Everton job, is without talismanic striker Troy Deeney, who is suspended, and the eye-catching addition to the side is Marvin Zeegelaar, who will make his debut for the Hornets, and will start the game at full-back.
Silva has made two changes to his Watford side that can leapfrog Brighton into eighth place with a draw or a win, and Adrian Mariappa is another defensive switch for the home side, who will be looking to put the misfiring Hammers under pressure from the first whistle.
However, the out-of-form Hammers are sure to fly out of the traps in this intriguing clash, as they will be looking to show the new boss what they can do, and on the face of it it's a huge game for the visiting Hammers, who start life in the top-flight without Slaven Bilic, and it's now Moyes that has the opportunity to turn things around at the London Stadium club.
