The cost of success: Leicester’s 2022-23 season is their most important in years
The 24-year-old has made 77 appearances for the French side since joining in 2020 from Belgian outfit KV Oostende. He made his international debut for the Red Devils in June when he came off the bench in their 6-1 Nations League victory against Poland where he played alongside current Foxes Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne.
Faes has made three appearances for Reims this season and played 37 league games for them last season, scoring four goals as they finished 12th in Ligue 1.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Faes said: “It’s an amazing feeling [to be here]; it’s not sunk in yet.
“This is the dream step in my career and I’m very happy to be here. I’m progressing year after year, and I hope to continue doing the same here. All the facilities and knowledge are here to help me to get even better. I will have to work hard, but I will give 100 per cent to help the team.”
Faes is the club’s second signing of the summer following goalkeeper Alex Smithies.
