Obviously taking a leaf from their 'noisy neighbours' book, Manchester United have revealed their brand-spanking new dressing room right before they kick-off tonight's Premier League opener at Old Trafford against Leicester City.
The interior designers recruited into The Theatre of Dreams have obviously been more productive than chairman Ed Woodward this season in giving United a makeover, and the results are sure to make the rest of the Premier League green with envy, radiating class and sophistication.
Three injury tables take centre position in the middle of the dressing room with the players’ allocated positions all set to face manager Jose Mourinho’s monitor, from where the Portuguese coach will be most likely bark his instructions as he strives to gain Manchester United’s first title in six seasons.
The Japan flag-looking red floor circle that had been centric before has been replaced with a subtle but elegant grand Manchester United emblem taking centre-stage within the room in muted colours.
Though the former dressing room exuded history and reminiscence of the glory years under Sir Alex Ferguson, most United fans will be in no doubt that the home players’ changing room needed a solid do-over.
Setting the tone and complementing the black/white aesthetic is a solid red neon beam underlining the players’ seating area, where new signings Fred and Diogo Dalot have taken their own places.
Though United finished second behind their cross-city rivals in 17/18, they can at least claim the bragging rights to having the classiest dressing room in Manchester.
United fans will be hoping that this is just one small step towards an electric season at recapturing success.
