Manchester United are set to make a huge break with tradition and change to black shorts rather than white for next season.
Images leaked online suggest the next adidas-maufactured Manchester United kit will be mainly red and black rather than red, white and black.
The new shirt features graduating black lines to complement the shorts while the socks will also be black and red. Chevrolet remains as the main sponsor.
It's potentially the most significant design change to the famous red shirt since Nike controversially introduced a black chevron in 2009. United have worn black shorts in the past but usually so as to avoid kit clashes.
Pictures of what are believed to be United's away and third kits for next season have also started to surface on the internet. The new away kit is reportedly pink with the third strip being dark blue. While United have worn blue away kits many times in their illustrious history, they've never turned out in pink. Italian giants Juventus have regularly had pink away kits though it's a colour which tends to polarise opinion.
Adidas returned as United's kit supplier in 2015, replacing Nike who had their Swoosh on the club's gear for 13 years. Prior to that, Umbro enjoyed a long partnership with the club during one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
Both Everton and Liverpool have already revealed their kits for next season and many clubs will follow as the current season comes to an end. it has become a regular occurrence for clubs to show off their kit for the next season on the last day of the current one.
