Anthony Crolla fights for the last time in his professional career when he faces off with Frank Urquiaga at the Manchester Arena and his trainer Joe Gallagher has called for him to make an appearance on the New Years Honour list for his services to the City of Manchester.
Speaking to The Sportsman, Gallagher said: “Anthony’s the only Manchester fighter to win a title at the Manchester Arena and defend it at the Manchester Arena.
“What he’s done for the City of Manchester needs to be acknowledged on the New Years Honour list.”
You can see the full video below where Gallagher talks more about Crolla’s impact on Manchester and comparisons with Ricky Hatton.
