The Barcelona ratings have been leaked on FIFA 19 and there is good news for football fans as Lionel Messi has received an overall upgrade on his Ultimate Team card. His 94 rating means he is level with cover boy Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest rated player on the game and rightly so.
His FIFA 18 card was criminally underrated a 93 and delving deeper into the card we can see where he has been boosted. His remains the same at 89, but his dribbling has gone up one to 96. His shooting, Defending and physical have all also increased by one overall rating but it is in the passing statistic where he has seen the biggest improvement.
That particular part of his game was rated at 86 (?!) by EA in last year’s game, but he has received a boost of two, up to 88 in this year’s edition. That of course, is still a criminally underrated statistic for the best passer in world football.
His chance creation and final ball are out of this world yet FIFA have given him less than 90 in this stat! The Argentina and Barcelona forward had a pretty impressive season winning the La Liga and the Copa Del Rey for his club. At the World Cup he scored one of the goals of the tournament for Argentina but they were a shambles at the back so crashed out at the Round of 16 to eventual champions France.
We cannot wait to get our hands on this game and play with this Lionel Messi card.
