Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Ella Toone has signed a new contract with the club that runs until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Toone joined United in 2018 for their inaugural campaign in the FA Women’s Championship where the side stormed to the title at the first attempt to book their place in the prestigious Women’s Super League.
She has since gone on to establish herself as the club’s all-time leading scorer with 43 goals, and was also the first player to become a centurion at United having made 110 appearances to date.

Speaking to the club website about her new deal, Toone said: "I’m delighted to sign a new contract at Manchester United. The club’s ambitions really match mine and there’s nowhere better for me to learn.
“To play for my childhood club I support is really special and I’ll never get tired of pulling on the red shirt. To now be able to do that for even longer is a proud moment for me and my family."
Manchester United boss Marc Skinner was equally delighted to see Toone commit her future to the Red Devils and he views her as a key part of the club’s future.
He added: "Ella’s long-term commitment to Manchester United is yet more proof of the club’s continued investment in the future success of this team.”
"Ella has always been and remains a key member of our squad on and off the field, and we are delighted she will continue to wear our famous colours with pride for years to come."
The 23-year-old was part of the history-making England team that were crowned the winners of this summer’s European Championship. Toone scored the opening goal of an action-packed final against Germany, which the Lionesses won 2-1 in front of a record-breaking crowd inside Wembley Stadium.
Toone joined United from rivals Manchester City where she had spent two years. Before that she played Blackburn Rovers, where her senior career began in 2015.
