JD Sports have accidentally revealed Arsenal’s new away kit for the 2018/19 season. Despite Arsenal being silent on the subject, the sportswear retailer has put the alternative shirt on sale in one of its store.
Unfortunately for the Gunners, JD have literally jumped the gun, the official Arsenal website still only exclusively selling the 17/18 away socks, with a banner above that simply states ’18/19 Away Kit- Coming Soon’.
Not content with having a brand new manager at the helm, with Unai Emery replacing Arsene Wenger following the Frenchman’s resignation after 22 years with the Gunners, Arsenal have produced a brand new snazzy away kit.
Gone is the light blue/ dark blue melt from the 17/18 season, with Arsenal opting for a darker away strip for the new season.
A dark red stripe cuts across the black chest with what resembles like a red bar code on each sleeve, complimented by the designer’s logo on the left.
Puma have once again produced the shirt, having been Arsenal’s designer and manufacturer since the 11/12 season after replacing Nike. The Fly Emirates sponsor dominates in the centre, with the Dubai airline front and centre for the North London team since 2006.
Arsenal will be looking to produce more of a title-challenge in the upcoming season under the new stewardship of the former PSG manager, after several disappointing years and lack of a title since 2004.
Take a look at the shirt Arsenal will be wearing on their journeys around the Premier League grounds next year below.
